We are able to carry out class 4 MOT’s for cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3000kg gross vehicle weight. In the unfortunate event that your vehicle does not pass its MOT test, we are also able to perform repairs prior to submitting it for a retest.
The MOT test is an annual test to ensure all cars, motorcycles and light goods vehicles over 3 years old comply with minimum safety standards, as well as roadworthiness aspects and exhaust emissions. The test certificate and examination only relates to the condition of the testable items at the time the MOT takes place, and should not be considered evidence of the vehicle’s condition at any other time.
The test will examine the following aspects of the vehicle:-
• Lighting and signalling equipment
• Steering (including suspension)
• Brakes
• Tyres and road wheels
• Seat belts
• Body, structure and general items
• Exhaust, fuel and emissions
• Drivers view of the road
